Weather, Safety & Captain’s Call
Your safety is always our top priority. Here’s how weather‑related decisions work:
Fully Refundable Situations
If the captain determines it is not safe to get underway, your trip is fully refundable.
This call can be made up to 1 hour before departure and includes situations like:
- Lightning storms overhead
- Heavy winds strong enough to damage the boat
What is not considered unsafe?
- Cold
- Rain
- Cloudy skies
Trips will still run in these conditions.
Captain Adjustments
The captain may adjust your departure time or modify the route based on real‑time conditions to give you the safest, smoothest experience possible.
Why We Don’t Cancel Based on Forecasts
If you’re local, you already know: Gulf Coast forecasts are almost always wrong.
We don’t cancel based on predictions because they rarely match what actually happens on the water.
It might show thunderstorms for three straight days — and yet, here on the beach, they never show up. It’s like we live inside a little magic weather bubble where storms slide north or south of us while it stays beautiful on the water.
So instead of relying on unreliable forecasts, we make decisions based on real conditions, not guesses.
Final Thoughts
We want your CoastEase experience to feel easy, fair, and flexible. Whether you’re planning a family day, a bachelorette bash, or a corporate escape, our policies are designed to protect your investment while keeping your trip stress‑free.
