Meet the Team: CoastEase Tikis USCG Veteran Captains

Today, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on the incredible team behind the scenes at CoastEase Tikis, a premier boat charter business nestled in the beautiful emerald waters on the Gulf Coast in Orange Beach, Alabama at Reel Surprise Marina.

What sets CoastEase Tikis apart from the rest is their exceptional team of United States Coast Guard Veterans that founded CoastEase Tikis. CoastEase is the basis of their belief that "Any day on the water is a great day", and the name is also a nod to the nickname for people in the United States Coast Guard "Coasties". CoastEase is a team for Captain Services that are all USCG Veterans that can be trusted for their professionalism and maritime competence. Those values and beliefs are the basis of CoastEase Tikis.

Capt Clay

These two retired USCG Veterans, who are also both 100-Ton Master Captains and boating Instructors, bring a wealth of knowledge and over 22 years of professional maritime experience each to the table. Their dedication to safety, professionalism, and leadership truly sets them apart in the competitive world of boat charters.

Captain Clay and Captain Jess both have extensive histories of experience on the water. Not only professionally with their time in the USCG sailing every water around the United States and Caribbean, but personally with their family and friends taking out their private boats for fishing, sand-bar hopping and extensive traveling around America and the Caribbean. Captain Clay and Captain Jess are both boat handling instructors with the CoastEase Captain Services company, and teaching the OUPV and Masters courses with The Captain School in Gulf Shores. Captain Jess was also a USCG Instructor who taught people how to drive boats in the USCG, including in heavy weather conditions as a Surfman. After each of them retired with over 22 years of USCG service, they decided to take their passion and knowledge for boating and use it to share the joy of "Having a great day on the Water" by founding CoastEase Tikis for day trips in Perdido Key, Pensacola Florida and Orange Beach Alabama.
